Last Door Recovery Society again was a proud sponsor of Recovery Day.  When it became clear that COVID-19 was going to change the world of street festival productions; the Last Door along with other stakeholders decided to put our energy into a virtual platform.  Our goal is to ensure the message of recovery from addiction is at the forefront during Canada’s addiction crisis.    Recovery Day takes place during Recovery Month Canada.

Recovery Day has been part of the New West Recovery Community for the past 4 years, thousands of people recovering from addiction attended years past.

What does Recovery Day have to do with Addiction Treatment?

When clients arrive at Last Door they are in a vibrant recovery atmosphere, they hear the stories, they see the videos on our media walls of Recovery Day and ask, are these people all in recovery?  when they realize recovery is much more than just treatment, a shift happens in their perspective. They see that recovery can be fun, sustainable, and possible.
